Since 60 years

Da non perdere

The Globo D’Oro film prize was founded in 1959 by the Foreign Press Club in Rome, with its 60th anniversary being celebrated in 2020 when top Italian filmmakers were awarded prizes for the best Italian productions of the season.

Over the years, many leading Italian actors and directors including Federico Fellini, Sophia Loren and Roberto Benigni attended the Globo D’Oro awards ceremony where they received prizes for their works. Several foreign film stars, including Vanessa Redgrave and Catherine Deneuve have also received Globo d’Oro awards for their works.

The award is considered one of the most important film awards in Italy.
